1904: The SS Norge, sailing to New York from Copenhagen, runs aground on Hasselwood Rock in the North Atlantic. Of the 795 people on board, most of them emigrants, only 160 survive.
1950: American Airlines Flight 910 collides with a Temco Swift during approach to Dallas Love Field. The DC-6 suffers little damage, but the Swift has its wing severed by a propeller and crashes, killing both occupants.
2007: A TAAG Angola Airlines flight crashes in M’banza-Kongo when the 737 undershoots the runway and hits a building. 5 people are killed and 73 survive on the plane (some reports differ.)
