10:10, a carbon-cutting project, made these nifty tags out of the City of Edinburgh, better known as the 747 from the Jakarta Incident that flew through volcanic ash and lost all engines.
Now, I take a bit of issue with the description “After decades spent hurtling around the lower stratosphere and making all kinds of climate mischief in the process, G-BDXH is spending her retirement making it up to us” because I can cut down on my car use (I don’t even own one anymore, I ride the MTA or a scooter that gets 80 mpg, and I highly recommend it) but I can’t quite bicycle to Europe, you know? Planes are pretty important, climate change aside. But this is still really cool and even if you are a climate change denial conspiracy theory person, if you like planes and 747’s you should check this out.
life is so weird. We were just talking about this incident yesterday
Novel concept, but I’m not behind the message.
I am guilty.
